Shave or Wax? That is the question!

Writer's picture: Lynnette AndersenLynnette Andersen

To best break this down I thought it would be best to show you what the a hair follicle looks like. If you are like me pictures explain a lot more the words trying to describe something that our eyes can not. Just under the surface of the skin is a crazy web of nerves, blood vessels and veins. On top of many many other things. Which I am not going to ask you to go there today. I will ask you to come with me on understanding a hair follicle. This will help you understand my waxing world.

Definition of a Hair Follicle

Hair follicle: A sac from which a hair grows and into which the sebaceous (oil) glands open. The follicle is lined by cells derived from the epidermal (outside) layer of the skin.
